The Asahi Dake Emergency Hut in June	First Floor - Rest Area	Second Floor - Sleeping Area

The Asahi-dake Ishi Muro is about 200m from the Asahi-Dake ropeway station and just at the entrance to the trail up Asahi-Dake.  This hut has signs (all Japanese) in it that say it is for emergency use only. Despite being for emergencies,  there are no blankets or food there.  Its main use is as a rest place for people visiting the base of Asahi-Dake.  However, if you read between the lines and talk to locals, the word is,

1) Don't set up your stuff till after the last ropeway and rangers leave. (about 5 or 6)

2) Clean up after yourself.  IE don't leave any trace anyone ever stayed there.

3) Be gone when the sun comes up, before the first ropeway and rangers arrive.

I don't have permission to let you stay there.  i'm just passing along what local hikers tell me.
