The new Tokachi-dake hut is more of a rest stop for day hikers than a deticated sleeping hut. Most of the floor is dirt, but a small area for sleeping about 5 people is raised and built with wood.
the Tokachi-dake hut is just 1-2 hours hike from a parking lot. Making it a good option if you arrive late.
