Know what to add to a photo and even more important, what to leave out. Like Mark Twain prefacing a letter, "Sorry for writing a long letter, i didn't have time to write a short one." Getting the fox statue, the gate, the tree and flags all in the same photo didn't jump out at me. It took time and walking around and asking myself many questions.
